Russell Simmons announced that his seven year marriage (hmm, the 7-year itch?) to wife, Kimora Lee Simmons, has come to an end.
The news --released via a statement from the Def Jam Records founder-- came on the heels of tabloid reports hinting at trouble in paradise. “We have been together for 14 years. Kimora and I will remain committed parents and caring friends with great love and admiration for each other," said Simmons, 48. "We will also continue to work side by side on a daily basis as partners in all of our businesses."
Not one to waste anytime, Russell has already been spotted on the town with a new lady friend -- 23 year old model Denise Vasi. They couple met while practicing yoga and have been seeing each other for the past few weeks. Apparently Kimora has also moved on - with reports linking her with New York Knick's Stephan Marbury (um, not liking this pairind AT ALL).
This is so sad, I really liked them as a couple. :-(

I'm glad that relationship went to hell in a handbasket. Specially when you have this old man waiting for this child to become of age so he can jump her bones. He got just what he deserve and i hope she drain him dry.
I think this situation is a sad one, any divorce is! however sometimes its for the best. I believe Russell truely loved Kimora and was faithful, but i question her intentions. Age doesnt matter, love does--just ask Celine and Renee (HELLO). Goodluck to both and keep the kids 1st :)
