Morgan freeman to Try a Romantic Lead

When you think of Morgan Freemans work, you think of Drama, Suspense, maybe some comedy.
Well, it seems Mr. Freeman is going to give another genre a try -- Romance. He says he is anxious about his role in upcoming film 10 Items Or Less, because it will be his first romantic lead since an excruciatingly embarrassing on-screen scene early in his career.

The 68-year-old discovered he was not cut out for steamy love scenes after suffering shyness in an earlier film project, and has avoided the genre ever since. But now he is testing the water as a character who enjoys a romantic afternoon with a woman he meets at a supermarket checkout.

He says, "I don't have any regrets about never being a romantic lead. It's just the way things have unfolded. I did a movie once where I had to make love to a woman on camera, and I will never do that again. I'm just not public enough for that."
