After founding The Source over 18 years ago, David Mays and Benzino have been fired by the magazine's new board of directors.
The two went to court last week to obtain a restraining order to prevent being ousted by the board. Unfortunately for them, the order has been lifted and a majority of board members have voted to fire the two. They have been replaced by former Source chief operating officer Jeremy Miller. Miller has declared that the magazine is headed in a new direction and says "starting immediately As far as I am concerned, all of the previous beefs are dead," -- referring to Benzino's lrivalries with Eminem, 50 Cent and Interscope Records. "They no longer apply." Miller then instructed staffers to spread the word to clients and publicist. He also told them that there would be some restructuring with the goal of cutting costs. The magazine is millions of dollars in debt, and is facing a sexual harassment lawsuit from two high-ranking former employees.
